Get ready to kill it Texas style with Texas Rollergirls very own Freight Train!!!! Assault City Roller Derby is excited to announce a Derby and Dance Clinic with Freight Train from the Texas Roller Girls. This clinic is open to all WFTDA and MRDA skaters. The clinic will be split into two portions, 40% dance skate skills and 60% roller derby. When: Saturday February 1st 2020 Where: ACRD’s practice space The Vault off the Shoppingtown Mall foodcourt, Syracuse NY. How much: Tickets are $35 **Skaters must be 18+ and have WFTDA/MRDA minimum skills as well as WFTDA/MRDA insurance** Learn how to improve skills in the following areas: Effectively pushing walls. Working with your offensive blocker. Performing quick point maneuvers. Blocking strategy and skills. Footwork Strategy Rhythm dance skating skills See below for the fine print: Tickets are non refundable, but are transferable between people. Please notify assaultcityrd@gmail.com ASAP for any ticket transfers. Bring CLEAN sneakers that you can change into while inside in The Vault. Ensure all sneakers are clean of snow or rain because you may be walking on our track once inside. Leave your outdoor shoes outside the practice space when you arrive. Our practice space temperature fluctuates so please dress in layers you can remove or add as your body temp changes. Bring food if you tend to get hungry and water as this is a longer clinic. Full safety gear is required at all time while on skates. We’re looking forward to an awesome clinic on February 1st!
